To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Senior Backend Developer (m/f/d) to play a central role in the design, development and optimization of the backend services of our employee app.

Your role
As a Senior Backend Developer you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the central backend systems of our employee application. You will work closely with front-end developers, development engineers and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure and high-performance solutions.
Your tasks:
- Backend development: Design, development and optimization of scalable backend services with PHP (Laravel).
- Database management: Development, optimization and maintenance of MySQL/MariaDB databases while ensuring data integrity and performance.
- API development & integration: Creation of RESTful APIs and integration of third-party interfaces.
- Real-time communication: Implementation and maintenance of WebSockets for real-time messages and notifications.
- System architecture & performance: Design of scalable architectures, optimization of database queries and implementation of caching solutions.
- Code quality & best practices: Writing clean, maintainable code according to best practices and established design patterns.
Your profile
- 5+ years of experience as a backend developer with profound knowledge of PHP (Laravel framework).
- Very good knowledge of MySQL/MariaDB, including database design, optimization and performance tuning of queries.
- Experience in implementing WebSockets for real-time applications.
- In-depth knowledge of API development, authentication protocols and web security best practices.
- Strong problem solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
